| Writing about his day in the Kid Journal app. |
My favorite new app discovery to reinforce the place value lessons I've been teaching.
(I think the kids liked it, too!)
Please take a moment to read Mrs. Kempfer's blog post from earlier this week. She did an excellent job explaining what we teach the children to do when they come to a word they don't know. Click here to view her post.
Many of the children are disappointed that our first science unit has come to an end. We will be going back to Science next Trimester. But for now, they will have a health unit about germs and two Social Studies units. The first being about cultures and traditions. The second about "life long ago." There will be many fun activities in these subject areas, too.
When we are learning about different cultures, if you would like to come in and talk a little bit about your family's culture and share some artifacts, please let me know.
Reminders:
- Please return the pledge sheets and money for the spell-a-thon on Monday.
- Tuesday is Woodview Spiritwear day.
- Tuesday is McTeacher night at McDonald's.
- Wednesday the student council will be having a popcorn sale during lunch.
