Learning About the World

The first graders have started their new reading unit:

The focus this unit is on reading non-fiction text.  Today we created a chart to show some of the different topics we could learn about when reading a non-fiction book.  Take a look at all of these wonderful topics the children want to learn about!

We have also learned some good habits to be in when reading a non-fiction book.  There's still lots to learn, so this chart will continue to grow and change.  Please feel free to reference this chart at home as you are listening to your child read at home.
