Busy Week Ahead

I have a busy 4 day week coming up for the first graders!  

Writing:  
We will celebrate being writers of Small Moments.  Everyone will have a published book to put in our classroom library & bring home at the end of the year.  We will begin learning about How To stories.

Social Studies:
This week, we continue the Long Ago & Today unit.  We will visit George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King, Jr. on our Brainpop Jr. subscription.  Then we will add them to our timeline.

Math:
We will learn about capacity and volume through many hands-on experiences this week.  We will also continue to practice addition and subtraction.

Important Dates:
11/18:  Fire Drill
11/19:  Hearing Re-Checks
11/20 - 11/21:  Student Council school store during lunch
11/21:  Visit our 4th Grade Buddies
