Math

We worked on a couple of different math skills today.  During science, the children created their own insect out of pattern blocks.  Then they each made a graph to show how many different kinds of blocks were used.  

Counting coins is another skill we continue to practice this year.  Each child was given a vending machine to look at so they could create story problems.  Sometimes they had to choose one item from the vending machine.  Other times, the children chose two different items   and had to add the amounts together before showing how much change they would need.
