Welcome back to school from the long weekend away. The children were full of exciting stories to share with one another this morning.
This week the first graders are going to experience a new "first". We will take our first spelling test on Friday. This week, we will take it together to teach HOW to take the test and write on the form. Each week afterwards, they will take it independently. Please look in your child's daily folder for more information regarding this.

In math this week, the class will continue to review telling time to the half hour, learn about counting with dimes, and start learning some basic addition facts.
During social studies, our focus will continue to be on our U.S. history timeline. The goal would be to complete it by the end of the week.
