What a pleasure it was to visit with so many families at back to school night! I'm so happy to see all the children proudly showing off their classroom and work. We had a fun week of learning, too. Earning our stuffed animal day was certainly a hit. All of the animal friends seemed to learn a lot! ;)
Highlights for the coming week:
Reading: We will continue to build our reading stamina and learn good reading habits to use with any book.
Writing: We will learn to add more to our stories and stretch out tricky words so we can read the stories easier.
Math: We will continue to use the count-on strategy to add two numbers and begin to measure with non-standard units.
Social Studies: Monday we fly off to Mexico. Looking forward to making some crafts and dancing the Mexican hat dance!
Handwriting: We continue to practice our capital letters.
Enjoy the pictures of stuffed animal day, learning to use chop-sticks, and back to school night.
